COLLEGES GLAD NOT TO BE LIFE OF PARTY.(CAPITAL REGION)

The party is over for colleges and universities in the Capital Region and they couldn't be happier -- none of them made The Princeton Review's newest list of Top 20 Party Schools.

However, nine months after a Troy teenager and three others were killed in what police say was a drunken-driving accident at Colgate University, the small liberal-arts college in Hamilton was voted No. 17 on the list.

For Colgate officials, such a designation was not welcome.

But for local schools, no rank was a good rank.
